Integrating with MailChimp
Zippy Courses can add students who purchase a course to Mailchimp as subscribers. For this, you’ll need to obtain your Mailchimp API key.
Finding your Mailchimp API details
Note: You must have Manager privileges or higher to access the API Keys screen.
Login to your Mailchimp account. Click on your username in the top right of the screen and then click Account. From your account page, choose Extras → API Keys. Copy an existing API Key or create a new one. Learn more about API Keys from the Mailchimp knowledgebase.
Linking Zippy Courses with Mailchimp
Login to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Zippy Courses → Settings→ Email List. Click on the Mailchimp tab.
Enter the following settings:
API Key: The API Key created in Mailchimp
Optin Type: By default, Mailchimp will send a signup confirmation email when to the student when they are added to the list. The student must click the link to confirm that they want to be subscribed to this list. Choose Single if you don’t want this behavior.
Click Save Changes to save your settings.
Add Students to Mailchimp
Navigate to the Zippy Courses screen and click on the course you want to integrate with Mailchimp. Click on the Email Lists tab that has been added to the course editor.
In the Mailchimp options box, select the list that you want the student to be subscribed to when signing up for your course. Click the Update button to save the settings.
