Transferring your License to Another Domain

Each Zippy Courses license entitles you to install Zippy Courses in one location, and receive upgrades and unlimited support for that installation. Sweet deal, right?

Sometimes, you may need to deactivate a site that your license has been installed on, or move your license from one installation to another. Otherwise, you will get an error message alerting you that your license has been installed elsewhere and has no more activations.

In that article, you will see how to get and install your license key, once you’ve installed Zippy Courses. In this article, we are going to see how to manage your License Key, and the sites that it is in use on.

Managing Your License Key

The first step is to visit your  Zippy Courses Account Page. On this page, you’ll see your Purchase History.

Next to your Purchase, you will see a few links:

• View Details and Downloads
• View Licenses

Click on  View Licenses.

On the next page, you will see the details for your license – the item it is for, the key (click on the Key icon to reveal the actual License Key), the status, and how many sites you have activated your license on.

If your Activations shows you that you have reached your limit, such as 1/1, then that means you are unable to use your license on another site to get updates and support.

Next, click on the  Manage Sites link next to your license.

On the following page, you will see a list of the sites that your license is in use on. You can also use the form at the bottom of this page in order to add a new site for your license.

In order to do so, you will need to first make sure that you have deactivated the site that your license is currently active on. You can do this by clicking on the  Deactivate Site next to the old site that you were using Zippy Courses on. Now, you can add a new site by either using the Add Site form on this page, or by entering your license key on a new site.
